Standard Course

Our most popular program is designed especially for beginners who want a thorough and gradual introduction to the world of ceramics. Through techniques of wheel throwing, hand-building, and decoration, we guide you step by step in small groups, with personal support. You can join at any time, and the course lasts as long as it suits you. No pressure, no rush, you progress at your own pace and build confidence for independent work.

Mini Course

The mini course consists of four sessions and is a great introduction to the world of ceramics. During the first three sessions, you’ll create objects using hand-building techniques, while the final session is reserved for decoration. This course is intended for complete beginners and you can join at any time. It’s ideal for those who want to try working with clay without a long-term commitment. If you fall in love with ceramics, you’re always welcome to continue with the Standard Course.

One-Day Workshops

If you want to come in and create a ceramic piece without committing to a full course, or simply enjoy a fun and creative time with family, friends, or colleagues while your fingers get to work, then our one-day workshops are the perfect choice. We offer workshops for making cups, bowls, plates, vases, teapots, painting ceramic sets, wheel throwing, or creating custom pieces using the pinching technique.

Individual Session

Quiet, personalized work at your own pace and according to your interests is made possible through an individual session with an instructor focused solely on you. The time is scheduled by agreement, whenever it suits you. Sessions can last from one to three hours, and the content is tailored to your wishes, whether you prefer more hands-on practice, clarification of specific techniques, or a theoretical conversation with examples.

Independent Work

For those who enjoy working independently, without limitations on the quantity or size of their work, yet still appreciate the atmosphere of a shared space, this model is an ideal solution. With a lower monthly fee and payment only for the materials you use, you have full freedom over what and how much you create, as well as complete control over your expenses. This option involves working without instructor involvement and requires previous experience.

How to choose the best studio or course among so many options

Practical tips

Location

Our studio is located in Belgrade and Novi Sad, but you’ll find ceramic studios in smaller towns across Serbia as well. When choosing between two locations in your area, distance shouldn't be the deciding factor. Sometimes a slightly longer commute can bring significant benefits to what you want to learn and achieve. Studios often differ greatly in their approach, quality, techniques, and materials used.

Teaching approach

Ceramic schools typically follow one of two main approaches. Some focus on enjoyment, creating a pleasant atmosphere with tastings and creative fun, while others, like ours, are dedicated to craftsmanship, technical development, and student independence. Of course, there’s plenty of laughter and relaxation here too :) Neither approach is better or worse. What matters is finding the one that suits you best. If you're looking to truly understand ceramics and master its secrets, you're in the right place.

Quality

If I had to pick just one thing that best reflects the quality of a ceramic school, especially for beginners, without a doubt, it's the students’ work. Forget photos of the space, smiling groups, and charming instructors. What truly speaks volumes are the results. That’s what remains when everything else is done. And if you already have some experience, it’s definitely worth checking which techniques and materials are available, how long the sessions last, and whether guaranteed time on the wheel is included in each class.

Techniques and materials

I can't speak for others, but I can confidently tell you what we offer. In addition to wheel throwing, you’ll learn various hand-building techniques: coil building, slab work, working with supporting molds, pinching, and freeform modeling. We use high-quality, proven white stoneware clay from Witgert, suitable for both functional and decorative ceramics. And when it comes to decoration, it's hard to find a wider selection: engobes, glazes, oxides, pigments, underglaze and overglaze paints, pencils, transfers, it's all available to you.
