This option is intended for participants who already have experience working with clay and want to use the studio space independently to bring their ideas to life, with supervision and occasional guidance from the instructor. It is ideal for those who do not want limitations on the number or size of pieces they create, since with a minimal monthly subscription you only pay extra per piece you made.
Independent Work is intended for participants who already possess basic technical skills, acquired through training in our studio or elsewhere, and who wish to continue working in the studio space with minimal support. An instructor is present during the session but only in an advisory role, without actively guiding the process. Each session lasts 3 hours, of which one hour is guaranteed for working on the pottery wheel, while the remaining time is arranged in agreement with other participants. By activating a monthly subscription, you gain access to the studio space, equipment, and all available decorating materials. All works created during Independent Work are charged by weight after bisque firing, at a rate of 300 RSD per kilogram. This price includes materials, firing, and decoration, so there are no additional costs or calculations. Payment is made after the bisque firing. In this way, there are no limits to the number or size of pieces you can create – it is entirely up to you to decide the pace and scope of your work.
Enrollment is open throughout the year, and you can join at any time in a group with available spots. The course is paid in cycles of 4 sessions of 3 hours each, with one session per week (additional attendance options are described in the price list). It is important to note that the course does not end after 4 sessions, that is simply the length of one cycle. Due to the nature of the process, it is often not possible to finish all started works within a single cycle. To complete them, you can book an individual session after finishing a cycle if you are not continuing with a new one. There is no limit to the number of cycles – you decide how long you wish to attend. For information about available sessions, contact us or fill out the application form on our website. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance.
The studio is equipped with pottery wheels, work surfaces, tools, aprons, and shelves for storing works in progress. For decoration, a wide selection of glazes, engobes, pastes, oxides, pigments, underglaze and overglaze colors, ceramic pencils, and decals is available. Firing is done in two stages: bisque firing (900°C) and glaze firing (1225°C). We only fire works made in the course, up to the stage reached during your session. If you would like to try decorative materials that are not part of the regular program, this can be arranged with the instructor in advance, to align with firing temperatures. Regardless of whether you use our materials or bring your own, payment per piece is calculated according to the same price list.
